***Holy Ghost! is coming straight from James Murphy’s (co-founder of DFA Records and frontman of LCD Soundsytem) birthday party in Brooklyn, NY to the westside of LA to rock a dj set at our party with their friends Classixx in anticipation of their album release and live tour. Holy Ghost! consists of two individuals, Nicholas Millhiser and Alexander Frankel. Both grew up a few blocks from each other in New York City. With several successful tracks under their belts like the breakout track ‘Hold On’ and just released ‘I Will Come Back’ and a slew of stellar remixes for Phoenix, Cut Copy, Moby, MGMT – they have solidified themselves as the next big act out of DFA Records proven stable of artists (LCD Soundsystem, The Juan Maclean).

***Good friends of ours, Tyler Blake and Michael David of Classixx just returned from their European tour and are some of the freshest music producers residing in west LA. Barely into their twenties, Classixx has begun defining a new sound for the Los Angeles electronic music scene. A refreshing change from the trance and techno inspired Electro that has been dominating dance floors, their Donna Summer’esque grooves have caught the ears of music aficionados, fans and artists alike. With recent remixes for groundbreaking artists such as Phoenix, The Ting Tings, Shiny Toy Guns, The Sounds, Mayer Hawthorne, Major Lazer and Drop the Lime, their funky midtempo sound is turning heads everywhere. Last summer they released their single, “I’ll Get You” featuring Jeppe (Junior Senior), as the debut track from the new collaboration between Kitsune Records and photoblogger Mark TheCobraSnake.
