***Holy Ghost! came straight from James Murphy’s (co-founder of DFA Records and frontman of LCD Soundsytem) birthday party in Brooklyn, NY to the westside of LA to rock a dj set at our party with their friends Classixx in anticipation of their album release and live tour. Holy Ghost! consists of two individuals, Nicholas Millhiser and Alexander Frankel. Both grew up a few blocks from each other in New York City. With several successful tracks under their belts like the breakout track ‘Hold On’ and just released ‘I Will Come Back’ and a slew of stellar remixes for Phoenix, Cut Copy, Moby, MGMT – they have solidified themselves as the next big act out of DFA Records proven stable of artists (LCD Soundsystem, The Juan Maclean).

***Good friends of ours, Tyler Blake and Michael David of Classixx just returned from their European tour and are some of the freshest music producers residing in west LA. Barely into their twenties, Classixx has begun defining a new sound for the Los Angeles electronic music scene. A refreshing change from the trance and techno inspired Electro that has been dominating dance floors, their Donna Summer’esque grooves have caught the ears of music aficionados, fans and artists alike. With recent remixes for groundbreaking artists such as Phoenix, The Ting Tings, Shiny Toy Guns, The Sounds, Mayer Hawthorne, Major Lazer and Drop the Lime, their funky midtempo sound is turning heads everywhere. Last summer they released their single, “I’ll Get You” featuring Jeppe (Junior Senior), as the debut track from the new collaboration between Kitsune Records and photoblogger Mark TheCobraSnake.

Mammoth Mountain New Year’s Eve 2010 at Canyon Lodge Thursday, December 31st (9pm – 2am).
After a legendary celebration last year at Eagle Lodge in Mammoth, CA; Mammoth Mountain – Inyo National Forrest, SABER, COMUNE, BL!SSS, THE CLOSET and COLLLABORATIVE MEDIA have joined forces to host this year’s event at Canyon Lodge!!! This event will be even bigger than the last, allowing for more friends to celebrate together; so let your friends know and tell their friends too. Tickets are cheap and sold out last year way in advance, so get on it before you’re left out in the cold only to be constantly reminded next year about how much fun your friends had… We hope that many of you can join us as we ring in the New Year together!

Collaborative Media invites all friends and family for its annual Holiday Party this Saturday, December 5th at Memphis at the Beach…a night of music, great food and drinks.
This Holiday Party is also celebrating the launch of Collaborative Media’s latest investment in Manhattan Beach’s newest restaurant/bar… Memphis at the Beach.
2009 has been an amazing year at Collaborative Media and we could not have done without the support of our friends and family. Highlights include Mammoth Mountain NYE, Fight Night Event’s Ryan Sheckler’s Charity Fight Night, Coachella, XOBESO summer music promotion, Etnies US Open Party, Sanuk’s US Open Party, RVCA x Cobrasnake x Classixx Party, Crap Eyewear Trash Bash, Jack Daniels Rock’s summer promotion, Labor Day Pool Party at The Roosevelt Hotel w/The Cobrasnake, the San Francisco Weekender, Halloween at The Henry Fonda Theater, Steve Aoki’s Birthday Party and the launch of Memphis at the Beach. Music event highlights include, Steve Aoki, DJ AM, The Twelves, Classixx, Lil Jon, Treasure Fingers, Pase Rock, Villains, Bird Peterson, Discotech, Flosstradamus, Designer Drugs, D.I.M., Boy 8 Bit, Mr. White, C-Town, Colossal KNXN, Hammerwolf, Kedd Cook, Bones, Howl, Sweatpants, Scorpion Breath, Kenya, Bob D and AC Means***.

We have added numerous upgrades to our restaurant and we want to share them with you.
